The package contains a pre-compiled binary for Solaris 8 (sparc), courtesy of Markus. It has been linked against SDL 1.2.3, Ogg Vorbis 1.0 and Python 2.1.1, so make sure you have compatible versions of these libraries installed.

Installation: Extract the adonthell-0.3.3.tar.gz package, login as root and run the install.sh script inside.

Then extract the wastesedge-0.3.3.tar.gz package, cd into the wastesedge-0.3.3 directory and run

> ./configure
> make

and, as root:

> make install

If all went well, you are ready to play.

Ben has created two icons for use with Waste's Edge. They will be installed to /usr/local/share/pixmaps. But you may download them from here as well.
